Finally- technology!!

So 3 weeks without internet didn't kill me. I had Russ' blackberry, so I was able to check my email a few times. We won't have tv until tomorrow. That has been tough. But the hardest of all was not having a home phone. I finally got that done last Saturday.

We are on our way to being settled in our new house. Most of the boxes (in the house) are unpacked. We still have a garage full of junk. I just want to put a sign outside that says, come take anything in the garage for just $5!

My goal by Sunday night is to have all of my pictures on the walls. I think I've only hung 3 things so far. But I'll get there.

Buying an older house is such a different experience than when we built our new house 10 years ago. It was so awesome to move into a totally spotless house that no person, mouse, raccoon, frog, mole or roach had ever lived in. Yes, we have had all of those things (some of them are still here) in this house.

Along with unpacking our boxes, I am having to clean everything in site. No one had lived here since last July, so you can imagine how the bugs and mice took over. We still have a raccoon or very large squirrel living in our attic. We have closed up a soffet twice, and it chews through it. We are just going to board it up this weekend.

Our pool looks great. Russ has worked so hard at getting it to go from pond with frogs and tadpoles to sparkling blue. The girls are having so much fun in it and want to swim everyday. It will be really nice when they are older and can go out there without us having to swim too.

Maddie and Becca are still a little scared of going upstairs by themselves. They are good to go with each other (most of the time). They sleep upstairs and are fine with that- as long as the door is closed.

Rylan is crawling all over the house exploring. She made it up 6 stairs today before I caught her. I put the gate back up, but it's so easy to push over.

So anytime you all want to stop by, come on in. This house is going to be a work in progress for quite some time, but I'd love to give you a tour (and ask for some decorating ideas!!)
